- Purpose: This is used to calculate day/night cycles and to fetch local weather conditions (e.g., rain, snow, clouds) via WeatherAPI.com.
- Transmission: Your location is sent securely to WeatherAPI.com to retrieve weather data. It is processed ephemerally and is not stored remotely by Funcode.
- Usage Data & Crash Reports: We use Google Firebase (Analytics & Crashlytics) to understand app performance and stability.
- Data Collected: This includes anonymous technical identifiers (Firebase Installation ID), device model, Android version, and stack traces when the app crashes.
- Purpose: To help us identify and fix bugs and to see which seasonal themes are most popular so we can improve the app.
2. Third-Party Service Providers
We share data with the following service providers to enable core features:
- WeatherAPI: Used for real-time weather synchronization.
- Google Firebase: Used for anonymous analytics and crash reporting.
These third parties process data according to their own privacy policies. We do not sell or lease your data to third-party advertisers.
3. User Control and Consent (GDPR)
We believe in transparency and user control. As a user, you have the following rights:
- Opt-in/Opt-out: You can enable or disable Weather Sync and Analytics/Crashlytics at any time through the in-app settings.
- Location Permissions: You can revoke location access through your Android System Settings at any time, though this will disable weather-reactive and day/night features.
- Data Deletion: Since we do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) like emails or names, we do not maintain accounts. Analytics data is automatically deleted by Firebase according to their standard retention cycles.
4. Data Storage and Security
- Local Storage: Your preferred settings (such as chosen season or manual location) are stored locally on your device using Android SharedPreferences.
- No Accounts: No login or registration is required to use Seasons Live Wallpaper.
